There are so many reasons why people are attracted to Israel. For some, it's the sun-drenched climate. For others, it's the rich variety of sites, historical archaeological, religious or just beautiful sights. For still others, it's the fascinating contrast between the ancient and the modern. But for absolutely everyone, Israel has a special hard-to-define something - an extra dimension - that turns every visit into a truly memorable experience.
Israel is a modern country that combines a rich, illustrious history with a tourism infrastructure that caters to every taste:
* Jerusalem
* Eilat
* Tel Aviv
... and much more.
You'll have access to:
Glorious beaches
Bustling cities
Nature reserves
Four Seas
Deserts
Health spas
Religious shrines
Shopping Malls
Artist's Colonies
Concerts in the Park
All this and a compact geography that enables you to get from place to place in no time at all. With a tradition of making visitors feel welcome that goes back to biblical times, the friendly people of Israel await you.
Jerusalem is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. A wonderful place for tourism and / or a vacation. This ancient city like good wine improves with time. Its beauty is an intermingling of the scenic views offered around the city, its varied architectural styles which blend many cultures and eras all done in the familiar Jerusalem stone. Its is impossible to encompass the whole city in a short visit; Jerusalem encompasses many world renowned archaeological sites. Each building and stone reflects a history of its own as well as representing many cultures and religions.
Jerusalem however is not just a journey back in time, it is a vibrant modern city, with lively shopping malls and cultural activities: music, theater and many significant museums. It contains entertainment opportunities, which are open daily. Pubs, restaurants, night clubs with an ambience of their own, some in recently renovated old quarters. The human element also brings with it a particular flavor, Jews, Arabs, religious and nonreligious, rabbis and priests, ecumenical students and yeshiva students, diplomats and tourists, government employees and art students, nuns and girls in mini skirts.
There’s no place like Tel Aviv to indulge your urban tastes. Classified by geographers as a “world city,” it offers museums, opera, theater and dance, fine restaurants with cuisines from around the world, its own beautifully restored 19th-century quarter, Neve Tzedek and even antiquities, in the form of its “older sister” – Jaffa, which also has galleries galore.Tel Aviv’s Mediterranean location also means quality beach-time can be part of the experience.
The Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth in any land mass (417 meters below sea level, to be exact). The quantity of water that evaporates from it is greater than that which flows into it, such that this body of water has the highest concentration of salt in the world (340 grams per liter of water).
The Dead Sea can also be called “the lowest health spa in the world.” Sea salts are produced from the southern section for industry, and in the northern section promote tourism and good health. The composition of the salts and minerals in the water are what make it so unique and beneficial for the body.
It is a truly priceless national treasure. The western shore (insideIsrael’s borders) is dotted with organized beaches and bathing areas that provide convenient access to the water. Beside two of the therapeutic beaches (Neve Zohar and Ein Bokek) large tourism centers have been established, providing the most pampering tourism services.
You will find dozens of hotels, hostels and guest houses, restaurants and shopping centers, as well as surprising tourism enterprises that offer a wide range of challenging activities (jeep and bicycle tours, camel tours and Bedouin hospitality, rappelling and more), alongside art and cultural activities (galleries and artists’ studios), and of course the unique agriculture, adapted to the local climate.
At Israel’s Red Sea Riviera on the Gulf of Eilat you'll find a wonder-sea of corals and exotic fish awaits. In addition to hiking and diving, other adventure challenge experiences are to be had in the desert cliffs around Eilat and in the Negev and the forested ridges of the Upper Galilee, including cycling, off-road touring and rappelling.
Israel boasts a number of unique edutainment attractions that families love– Jerusalem’s TimeElevator, Mini Israel, the new Kings City in Eilat and the Haganah Museum are only a few of the fun-while-you-learn experiences in store.
