Alpine Malta Marks 50th Anniversary
This year marks Alpine’s 50th Anniversary! In 1969, Tony Zahra, who is now the chairman of Alpine Holdings, started Alpine Travel together with his brother. He put Alpine on the map as one of the biggest names the local tourism industry knows today. In the 1990s, he passed the mantle to his nephew, Warren Zahra, who is our managing director today. Warren oversaw the rebranding to Alpine Sterling DMC, where we now have over 18 dedicated team members, handling over 300 MICE and Leisure Groups as well as FIT and Concierge programs.

Peter Cauchi Joins the Alpine Sterling Team
Peter has been in the industry for over 30 years and brings a wealth of senior experience to Alpine Sterling. After becoming the Director of the German, Swiss and Austrian markets for the Malta Tourism Authority, he was very successful spearheading their marketing department in the German speaking countries and made a significant impact on increasing Malta’s reputation in the region. Upon his return to Malta, he was appointed Head of Department of Conventions Malta, marketing the Maltese Islands around the globe for the MICE segment.
